The Evans International Law Firm, founded by Attorney Demitrus Evans in 2009 was established to make an impact in the lives of business owners who are growth focused and in a middle stage. Attorney Demitrus EvansJD,LLM

From relocating to Chicago to work with Amnesty International in 1995, to opening TEIL Firms in 2009, Demitrus has represented both domestic and international companies large and small for over 20 years. She’s practiced in Federal, State, and international courts of trade, and Appellate courts, in civil and criminal matters. Her business practice includes the careful review and rewriting of business contracts, filing of prosecuting trademarks and real estate acquisitions, as well as the formation of for-profit and non-for-profit Corporations. 

Her extensive work includes board, management and training, international and domestic business development, and strategic legal planning for distributors and transporters seeking to relocate.

In her two decades, Attorney Evans has developed time-tested innovative legal strategies to prevent litigation and manage legal risks to allow your company to focus on its bottom line and continues to implement new structures to rethink the way we do business. She brings a tremendous amount of integrity, dedication, and nuanced perspective that makes their firm the holistic solution for business clients. Staying ahead of the law’s frequent changes is her sixth sense.

Paralegal

Suchandra Muhkerjee

Suchandra is a lawyer in India, acting as an International Law Paralegal with TEIL Firms while she works on her LLM in International law. Her focus is on Commercial and International Corporate Law. Her efforts make it possible for our clients to expand into the global market while adhering to policy and compliance. She assists Attorney Evans and the Team with her research and writing skills as well as her international business acumen. Due to the cross-border transactions that she is involved in she consults with clients on the Asian continent and acts as a liaison.

Suchandra ensures our international clients land foreign contracts they desire while removing the hassle of prostration, liability, and government compliance. Suchandra is currently working on our company's International Law Book- Looking Across the Globe.

bi-jen (jenny) wung

Jenny Wung is a new associate of TEIL Firms, LLC. She is originally from Taiwan and is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese. Jenny previously worked as a Judicial Law Clerk at Taiwan Intellectual Property Court (now Taiwan Intellectual Property and Commercial Court), as a trademark paralegal in the largest full-service law firm in Taiwan, and as a law clerk in corporate legal counseling and immigration practices at a boutique law firm in California. She has more than five years of legal work experience.

Jenny is a recent LL.M. graduate of the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. Her legal research and writing experiences in Taiwan and the U.S. have equipped her with solid international/comparative legal research skills, analytical skills, drafting skills, and a global, flexible mindset when approaching legal issues. She specializes in Intellectual Property, Business Formation and Development, and Business Contracts.
